MT-Blacklist & auto update

MT-Blacklist rolls out version 2.x. Not sure it’s compatible with 2.64,
as it seems to ben written with MT3 in mind. I’ve been using an earlier
version for over a year now. It’s way better than having no protection
all, although time is still wasted in manually adding new match
strings. Maybe I should give up mine and use theirs? Or merging the two
with WinMerge or something like that? Or even concatinate two files?

Blacklist auto-update
Assuming you can run background tasks (see the readme included in
the MT-Blacklist distribution), you can enable auto-updates from the
master blacklist here at the Comment Spam Clearinghouse. This is a
great way to painlessly keep up-to-date on the latest spammer domains
striking the blogosphere and be protected before they even hit your
doorstep.

Done. There is a version 1.65 that works with MT2.6x. Everything works right off the box. I also installed CS-RCS on the server so as to keep track of changes I made to the server.
